Engineer
Our client, now the largest passive components supplier in
the world has combined the historical leadership in the interconnect
industry of AMP with forward-looking companies like Elcon,
Elo TouchSystems, HTS, M/A-Com and Raychem.
Our
Client is looking for a Packaging Engineer to support its
fast-paced, growing US Engineering organization. In this position,
you will be responsible for providing packaging and labeling
design and support for assigned terminal and splice product
lines including timely response to proposal requests, field
reports, quality issues and Customer inquiries. You will also
develop packaging for new products and product automated manufacturing
processes. Developing and maintaining packaging, labeling,
instructions and specifications will be additional duties
in this position. You will lead packaging prototype performance
testing to successfully introduce new packaging designs which
result in cost reduction, standardization, and process/quality
improvements. With customers, suppliers, sales, Product Engineering
and other functions, you will communicate to analyze and solve
issues that arise during the design and manufacture of assigned
product lines. Experience with utilization of PALI, EC Express,
Microsoft Office, and other engineering tools to increase
productivity quality and efficiency of tasks is necessary.
Qualified
applicants will possess a minimum of a BS in Packaging Engineering
or equivalent field. You must have at least 3 years of Packaging
Engineering experience. The successful candidate will be familiar
with drafting conventions, use of common PC tools, have a
strong knowledge of thermoforming, extrusion and corregated
packaging materials and processes and possess the ability
to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing while managing
multiple projects. AutoCAD experience is a PLUS!!
