Development Engineer
Major
Responsibilities:
Responsible
for the developing innovative packaging and package upgrades
for major consumer products businesses. Contributing member
to cross-functional teams to launch new products/line extensions.
Draftsperson on state-of-the art ArtiosCAD system. Coordinate
the preparation of primary and secondary packaging prototypes.
Conduct functional testing such as drop and vibration, force,
and other ASTM tests. Work with manufacturing to assure implementation
of packaging technology. Prepare package material specifications.
Experience:
3-5
years of package development experience; knowledge of paperboard
(folding cartons, blister cards), plastics processing (blow
molding, injection molded components, plastic films), decoration
methods, dispensing systems (aerosol or trigger sprayers)
and proficiency with CAD/CAM system such as AutoCAD, Artios,
or Pro-E. Must also possess project management experience,
GMP practices, and be able to interface with all cross-functional
teams.
Education/Technical
Skills:
- BS
degree in Package, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Ability
to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Additional
Information:
Salary:$47,000
to $50,000 per year
